3 | PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES | ATCvet classification code QJ01 - antibacterial veterinary preparations for systemic use. Medycilate contains a cyclic polypeptide antibiotic - bacitracin methylene disalicylate. Bacitracin has bactericidal activity against gram-positive bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus spp., Enterococcus spp., Clostridium spp., Corynebacterium spp.) and shows limited activity against Gram-negative bacteria. It actively hinders the synthesis of bacterial cell walls by inhibiting receptor regeneration of phospholipids which are involved in peptidoglycan synthesis. BMP, at its concentrations that used as accelerated growth promoter, demonstrated preventive and therapeutic effects on necrotic enteritis in poultry. It is also increases the weight and to improve feed utilization rate in poultry, swine and cattle. It is effective for the prevention and treatment of various forms of enteritis in poultry and pigs, particularly effective against Clostridia Perfringens - pathogen necrotic enteritis. It not absorbed by the digestive tract and leaves no residues in animal products. It has no cross-resistance with other veterinary medicines. |
